Glasma
In 1979, Glasma was founded to centralize the handling of raw materials in the south of Sweden. Småland, with its deep forests and many lakes, was a perfect place to produce world-class glass. The forests provided the much-needed wood, and the lakes provided sand for the glass mass. Today, Glasma has developed into a supplier of the highest quality glass raw materials to customers worldwide from its production facility in Emmaboda, in the heart of Småland. Glasma’s products can be found in everything from the official Nobel tableware to glass details in premium cars.
For over 10 years, DGE has supported Glasma in their environmental efforts, and with our office in Kalmar, we are well-positioned to provide a close collaboration with Glasma. The long and continuous engagement means that DGE knows the business well, which results in short lead times for new projects and challenges.
Exciting projects during this period have included developing the company’s flue gas cleaning and stormwater management. Through our periodic inspections and legal monitoring, we have also had the opportunity to support Glasma with their self-monitoring.
